麦门冬：为百合科植物麦冬或沿阶草的块根。
王瓜根：为葫芦科植物王瓜 Trichosanthes cucumeroides (Ser.) Maxim. 的根。
芦根：禾本科植物芦苇Phragmites communis Trin．的新鲜或干燥根茎。全年均可采挖，除去芽、须根及膜状叶，鲜用或晒干。
地骨皮：茄科植物枸杞Lycium chinense Mill．或宁夏枸杞 Lycium barbarum L．的干燥根皮。春初或秋后采挖根部，洗净，剥取根皮，晒干。

Indications: 消渴，日夜饮水不止，小便利。

Usage and dosage: 上锉，如麻豆大。每服四钱匕，水一盏，煎取八分，去滓温服，不拘时候。
