Traditional knowledge – formula	鱼鳔一斤（面麸炒焦，磨去粗末，再炒焦，再磨）沙蒺藜四两当归四两（酒洗）肉苁蓉四两（去鳞甲，酒洗）莲须四两菟丝子四两（酒煮）肾水不足，阴虚血虚之症。

鱼鳔：为石首鱼科动物大黄鱼 Pseudosciaena crocea (Richardson)、小黄鱼 Pseudosciaena polyactis Bleeker、黄姑鱼Nibea albiflora (Richardson)、鮸鱼 Miichthys miiuy (Basilewsky) 或鲟科动物中华鲟 Acipenser sinensis Gray、鳇鱼Huso dauricus (Georgi) 等的鱼鳔。
沙苑蒺藜：为豆科植物背扁黄芪的种子。
肉苁蓉：列当科植物肉苁蓉Cistanche deserticola Y．C．Ma或管花肉苁蓉Cistanche tubulosa（Schenk） Wight的干燥带鳞叶的肉质茎。春季苗刚出土时或秋季冻土之前采挖，除去茎尖。切段，晒干。
当归：伞形科植物当归Angelica sinensis（Oliv．）Diels 的干燥根。秋末采挖，除去须根和泥沙，待水分稍蒸发后，捆成小把，上棚，用烟火慢慢熏干。

Indications: 肾水不足，阴虚血虚之症。

Usage and dosage: 炼蜜为丸，如梧桐子大。每服二三钱。宜冷和药，不可大热，恐粘硬难丸。
