黄连：毛茛科植物黄连Coptis chinensis Franch.、三角叶黄连Coptis deltoidea C．Y．Cheng et Hsiao或云连Coptis teeta Wall.的干燥根茎。以上三种分别习称“味连”、“雅连”、“云连”。秋季采挖，除去须根和泥沙，干燥，撞去残留须根。
葛根：豆科植物野葛Pueraria lobata （Willd.） Ohwi的干燥根。习称野葛。秋、冬二季采挖，趁鲜切成厚片或小块；干燥。

Indications: 伤寒时气，烦渴饮水不止。

Usage and dosage: 上为末，炼蜜为丸，如梧桐子大。每服
三十丸，煎大麦汤温下，不拘时候。
