蒲黄：香蒲科植物水烛香蒲Typha angustifolia L．、东方香蒲Typha orientalis Presl或同属植物的干燥花粉。夏季采收蒲棒上部的黄色雄花序，晒干后碾轧，筛取花粉。剪取雄花后，晒干，成为带有雄花的花粉，即为草蒲黄。
红花：菊科植物红花Carthamus tinctorius L．的干燥花。夏季花由黄变红时采摘，阴干或晒干。
当归：伞形科植物当归Angelica sinensis（Oliv．）Diels 的干燥根。秋末采挖，除去须根和泥沙，待水分稍蒸发后，捆成小把，上棚，用烟火慢慢熏干。
知母：百合科植物知母Anemarrhena asphodeloides Bge.的干燥根茎。春、秋二季采挖，除去须根和泥沙，晒干，习称“毛知母”；或除去外皮，晒干。

Indications: 产后三四日，恶露不下，呕逆壮热。

Usage and dosage: 上锉。以水二升，煎至一升，去滓，下蒲
黄煎四沸，空心分作三服。
