Traditional knowledge – formula	大枣五十枚（去核，焙，别捣）生干地黄半斤（切，焙）阿胶（炙令燥）甘草（炙，锉）各三两恚怒伤肝，胸中菀结，或至呕血者。盖气血相搏而厥逆。

甘草：豆科植物甘草Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.、胀果甘草Glycyrrhiza inflata Bat.或光果甘草Glycyrrhiza glabra L．的干燥根和根茎。春、秋二季采挖，除去须根，晒干。
大枣：鼠李科植物枣Ziziphus jujuba Mill.的干燥成熟果实。秋季果实成熟时采收，晒干。

Indications: 恚怒伤肝，胸中菀结，或至呕血者。盖气血相搏而厥逆。

Usage and dosage: 上除大枣外，为粗末，再作一处捣匀。每服五钱匕，水一盏半，煎至八分，去滓温服，日二夜一，不拘时候。
