Traditional knowledge – formula	牵牛子八两（四两生四两微炒，捣罗为末）木通一两（锉）青橘皮半两（汤浸，去白瓤）桑根白皮三分（锉）热病后，风气壅滞，胸膈聚痰，大便不通。

桑白皮：桑科植物桑Morus alba L.的干燥根皮。秋末叶落时至次春发芽前采挖根部，刮去黄棕色粗皮，纵向剖开，剥取根皮，晒干。
青皮：芸香科植物橘Citrus reticurlata Blanco及其栽培变种的干燥幼果或未成熟果实的果皮。5～6月收集自落的幼果，晒干，习称“个青皮”；7～8月采收未成熟的果实，在果　　皮上纵剖成四瓣至基部，除尽瓤瓣，晒干，习称“四花青皮’’。

木通：木通科植物木通Akebia quinata（Thunb．）Decne.、三叶木通Akebia trifoliata （Thunb.） Koidz.或白木通Akebia trifoliata（Thunb.）Koidz.var. australis（ Diels）Rehd.的干燥藤茎。秋季采收，截取茎部，除去细枝，阴干。

Indications: 热病后，风气壅滞，胸膈聚痰，大便不通。

Usage and dosage: 上为末，入牵牛子末，研匀，炼蜜为丸，
如梧桐子大。每服三十丸，温水送下，不拘时候。
以得通为度。
