玄参：玄参科植物玄参Scrophularia ningpoensis Hemsl.的干燥根。冬季茎叶枯萎时采挖，除去根茎、幼芽、须根及泥沙，晒或烘至半干，堆放3～6天，反复数次至干燥。
升麻：毛茛科植物大三叶升麻Cimiciufuga heracleifoliaKom．、兴安升麻Cimicifufuga dahurica （Turca）Maxim．或升麻Cimicifuga foetida L的干燥根茎。秋季采挖，除去泥沙，晒至须根干时，燎去或除去须根，晒干。

Indications: 心火内热，热极发斑，目睛突出，两手冰冷。

Usage and dosage: 水煎一碗服。一剂即愈。
