摘要 In order to explore the cadmium (Cd) tolerance of ornamental plants in northwest during germination and seedling period, the seeds of 6 species of common ornamental plants of Compositae, such as Centaurea cyanus, Echinacea purpurea, Tagetes erecta, Cosmos bipinnata, Zinnia elegans, and Callistephus chinensis, were chosen as experimental materials. The related indexes duiring germination (Germination rate, germination potential, germination index, vigor index) and seedling (Radical length, embryo length) were measured under different Cd concentrmeations (0, 5 mg/L, 10 mg/L, 20 mg/L, 40 mg/L, 80 mg/L) which was caculated with Cd~(2+). Subordinate function method was used to evaluate Cd-tolerance among 6 species. The results showed that the germination and seedling growth of 6 species were increased at first and then decreased with increasing of Cd concentration. Seed germination and seedling growth were significantly promoted with Cd concentration of 5 mg/L and 40 mg/L, and were significantly inhibited with Cd concentration of 80 mg/L. The growth of radical was influnced greater than embryo. The 6 species had different resistances to cadmium stress, the subordinate function method values showed that Echinacea purpurea and Cosmos bipinnata were the highest resistance and lowest resistance to cadmium stress, respectively. The results of this study could provide basis for remediation of cadmium contanimated soil in northwest China and these 6 species could be recommended as priority to plant.
