Characteristic evaluation for 16 naturally found herbaceous plants in Guizhou

摘要 Sixteen herbaceous plants from different ecological environments in Guizhou were collected, and their growth and development period, growth characteristics, adaptability and stress resistance etc. evaluated. It was found that Paspalum notatum, Hemarthria compressa, Festuca arundinacea and Trifolium repens were particularly suitable for biological protection of highway slopes, because they had quite strong regeneration performance, covering ability, adaptability, and stress resistance. Five other varieties including Eremochloa ophiuroides, Cynodon dactylon and Paspalum dilatatum were also suitable for biological protection of bighway slopes with quite strong stress resistance and invasive activity, and long green periods.
