Abstract Objective To observe the infection process and regularity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF) with plants. Methods The infection rate of 6 kinds of AMF(Glomus versiforme,Glomus aggregatum,Glomus mosseae,Glomus intraradices,Glomus constrictum and Glomus claroideum) in 4 kinds of medicinal plants(Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi,Ocimum basilicum non L.,Artemisia annua L.and Atractylodes lancea(Thunb DC.) were studied.AMF spores were seperated with wet screening method. Results The infection rate of 4 kinds of AMF in a certain medicinal plant were different. The selectivity of different plants to a certain kind of AMF were also different. Conclusion The infection rate of G.mosseae and G.intraradices in all 4 kinds of medicinal plants were higher than the other AMF.It is suggested G.mosseae and G.intraradices are prefered AMF for medicinal plant research.
