Analysis of the Resource and Quality of Medicinal Plants of Smilax china

Abstract OBJECTIVE:To explore the relationship of the quality of Smilax china with the environment. METHODS:Representative growing district of S.china was selected for resource investigation. The information of samples and the environment were collected. Resveratrol, astilbin and engelitin in S.china form different growing districts were identified by TLC.The content of diosgenin was determined by RP-HPLC.RESULTS:There were certain difference in the strength of spot of resveratrol, astilbin and engelitin in the S.china form different districts, and the difference of the content of diosgenin were obvious. CONCLUSION:There are certain relativity between the quality of S.china and the environment
