Study on Economical and Plant Cultural Values of Pomegranate

Abstract From the viewpoint of ethnobotany,this paper examines the Chinese vocabularies on pomegranate(Punica granatum L.) and introduces its economic values and utilization,then it mainly analyzes the cultural values of pomegranate from the Chinese customs.The result shows : pomegranate is an important plant in Chinese plant culture,its reason lies in practical value and then giving the magic power on the human nature,representing the fine thing and then rising to pursue for a kind of unseen,become a kind of cultural plant in endless mankind''s history.
