Research Progress on Endophytes in Medicinal Plant Artemisia annua

Abstract As the most effective anti-malaria Chinese medicinal herb,Artemisia annua has other broad-spectrum of application in medicine and agriculture fields. Furthermore, endophyte resources closely related to it have also become the hot spot for investigation at present. Here, we summarize and sort the research progress on endophytic microbes in sweet wormwood, which are mainly applied on anti-tumor, antioxidant, anti-microbe and the promotion of artemisinin biosynthesis.
