The Research Progress of Medicinal Plants Fritillaria

Abstract The Fritillaria plants belong to the Liliaceae family. China is the center of resource distribution. Fritillaria is rich in wild resources, species numbers and wide distribution in China. Most species of Fritillaria can be used as medicine which has unique therapeutic effects and extensive clinical use. There are many reports on the study of fritillaria at home and abroad, but there is a lack of comprehensive and systematic summary and analysis of these reports. In this paper, the research progress of six aspects such as geographical distribution, taxonomic identification, medicinal components and efficiency, clinical application and breeding technology on Fritillaria medicinal plant are reviewed, with checking the domestic and foreign literature databases and analyzing relevant literature. The prospect related to these research aspects in the future is summerized. The purpose of this paper will provide reference for protection and development utilization of plant resources in Fritillaria.
