黄柏：芸香科植物黄皮树Phellodendron chinense Schneid.的干燥树皮。习称“川黄柏”。剥取树皮后，除去粗皮，晒干。
栀子：茜草科植物栀子Gardenia jasminoides Ellis的干燥成熟果实。 9～11月果实成熟呈红黄色时采收，除去果梗和杂质，蒸至上气或置沸水中略烫，取出，干燥。
甘草：豆科植物甘草Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.、胀果甘草Glycyrrhiza inflata Bat.或光果甘草Glycyrrhiza glabra L．的干燥根和根茎。春、秋二季采挖，除去须根，晒干。

Indications: 1.《伤寒论》：伤寒，身黄发热者。2.《鸡峰普济方》：衄血，或从口出，或从鼻出，暴出而色鲜，衄至一二斗，闷绝者。

Usage and dosage: 上以水四升，煮取一升半，去滓。分二次
温服。
《鸡峰普济方》：为粗末。每服五钱，水二盏，
煎至一盏，去滓温服。
