栝楼：为葫芦科植物栝楼及中华栝楼的果实。
黄连：毛茛科植物黄连Coptis chinensis Franch.、三角叶黄连Coptis deltoidea C．Y．Cheng et Hsiao或云连Coptis teeta Wall.的干燥根茎。以上三种分别习称“味连”、“雅连”、“云连”。秋季采挖，除去须根和泥沙，干燥，撞去残留须根。
黄芩：唇形科植物黄芩Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi的干燥根。春、秋二季采挖，除去须根和泥沙，晒后撞去粗皮，晒干。

Indications: 消渴，饮水无度，小便数者。

Usage and dosage: 上为细末。每服二钱，临卧时以温浆水调下，并进三二服，即止。
