麦门冬：为百合科植物麦冬或沿阶草的块根。
徐长卿：萝藦科植物徐长卿Cynanchum paniculatum（Bge，）Kitag．的干燥根和根茎。秋季采挖，除去杂质，阴干。
黄芩：唇形科植物黄芩Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi的干燥根。春、秋二季采挖，除去须根和泥沙，晒后撞去粗皮，晒干。
蒲黄：香蒲科植物水烛香蒲Typha angustifolia L．、东方香蒲Typha orientalis Presl或同属植物的干燥花粉。夏季采收蒲棒上部的黄色雄花序，晒干后碾轧，筛取花粉。剪取雄花后，晒干，成为带有雄花的花粉，即为草蒲黄。

Indications: 热盛所致衄血、汗血。

Usage and dosage: 上为粗末。每服五钱匕，水一盏半，煎至八分，去滓，食后温服，一日三次。
