摘要 The effect of photosynthetic bacteria (PSB) on the growth and chemical properties of the new tobacco cultivars was studied. The tobacco cultivar strains, such as Zisu-Ⅱ and Mantuoluo, were used as distant-hybrids between Nicotiana tobacum L. , and Perilla frutescens ( L. ) Britt and Datura innoxia Mill. medicinal plants. Photosynthetic bacterial strains including Rhodospirillium, Rhodopseudomonas, Rhodobacter, Chromatium and Chlorobium were cultivated at a bacteria population of 5 * 10~9 CFU·mL~(-1). Results show that PSB liquid (at 1:200 dilution ratio) can improve the agronomic properties such as leaf length and width, stem perimeter and node spacing of the new tobacco cultivar when sprayed on tobacco leaves at seedling and field growth stages. Further analysis of the results shows that PSB has an impact on the chemical properties of leaves. Specifically, a simultaneous and significant decrease in nicotine and increase in potassium are observed in Zisu-Ⅱ. Furthermore, the leaves of the new tobacco cultivar have a better smoking quality than the control, which implies that PSB enhances greater homogeneity of the chemical properties of the tobacco leaves.
